Iqiyi is a video website founded by Gong Yu on April 22, 2010. On November 26, 2011, "iqiyi" brand was launched and a new logo was launched.

At the beginning of its establishment, iqiyi adhered to the company concept of "enjoyable quality", took "user experience" as its life, and provided users with a clear, smooth and user-friendly viewing experience through continuous technology investment and product innovation.

On May 7, 2013, baidu acquired PPS video business and merged with iqiyi. On March 29, 2018, iqiyi was listed on Nasdaq, stock code: IQ. In New York Times Square, iqiyi launched a large advertising to celebrate its IPO.

On August 6, 2018, iqiyi and Xinying sports set up a joint venture company to operate iqiyi sports in a unified way; on August 8, iqiyi won the best innovative operation award of the year of Jinyun award. On September 3, iqiyi released a statement to the public, saying that it would turn off the display of the data on the front desk of the whole station from now on. Iqiyi announced on November 29 that it plans to issue convertible preferred bonds with a total principal of US $500 million.
